मुल्ला चढि किलकारिया, अलहन बहिरा होय I

"Muslims are called to the daily prayers by a formal announcement called the 'adhan'. the 'adhan' is called out from the mosque by a muezzin who stands in the mosque's minaret tower.
'adhan' means 'to listen'. The ritual serves as a general statement of shared belief and faith for muslims as well as an alert that prayers are about to begin inside the mosque. 
Kabir says, this loud call from the top of minaret is but futile, for He, to whom this worship is offered is not deaf and neither He is anywhere else but dwells only deep within us."

"Kabir says, Sadhu is like Sandalwood and worldly enticements are like snake. Just like the Sandalwood doesn't give up its quality of giving coolness despite being wrapped around by the snakes, Sadhu remains in the world but not of the world."

"Kabir says, RamNam itself is the gateway to Liberation from the mundane existence. Hindus worship Lord Ram while Muslims worship Lord Allah. But It doesn't matter by what name we remember GOD, for the Supreme Reality is one and only one."

"Kabir says, in the endless cycle of death and rebirth that is going on since time immemorial, this rare human birth comes only once in a while. Just like a leaf falling off the tree cannot go back, we must make most of this rare human birth before it is too late."

"Kabir says, the root cause of all sufferings is the sense of "Me" and "Mine". This distances man from GOD. And therefore we must throw away this noose around the neck and get rid of it, earlier the better."

"Kabir says, living the life of an ascetic is as difficult as climbing a tall date tree and plucking dates from the top. Just like a little lack of caution is enough to cause a free fall, the downfall is inevitable if one cannot wear asceticism from within."

"Kabir says, when you were born, it brought smile on the faces of your loved ones who celebrated it while you didn't stop crying. Now  it's up to you not to make people laugh at you after your death. In other words live in such a way that you will be fondly remembered even after your death."

"Kabir says, GOD is like milk and worldliness is like water. Just like the Swan Bird separates milk from the mixture of water and milk, the Saintly Being attains GOD Realisation living in the world but not of the world."

"Kabir says, pearls do not lie on the sea shore. The diver has to dive deep in the ocean to be rewarded with pearls. In other words success is no accident. Great things come from hard work and perseverance. Things do not happen. Hard work makes them happen."
