"Kabir says, it is the nutrient rich water that turns a tree into lush green but the same water has no effect on the barren wood even when it is kept immersed in water. In other words ignorance makes the Wisdom of Wise fall on deaf ears while for those who are willing to absorb it, get enriched by it."

"Kabir says, no one knows when they are going to die and therefore don't do ill deeds because what you sow shall you reap.
Karma is a cycle of cause and effect, for every intentional action or thought, be it good or bad, there is a reaction that will affect us at some point in the future. When you have a positive attitude and put out kindness into the world, you will be rewarded with goodness in return. Consequently, bad behavior creates negative energy, resulting in bad karma coming back to you.
Let karma inspire you to live your best life."

"Kabir says, just like a woodworm eats away wood slowly and steadily, the time eats away the body bit by bit. Nothing can stop withering of the body with every passing moment. The mystery not many know is that while the mortal physical body is bound to perish one day, GOD lives deep within, the subtle dwelling for the boundless most subtle."

मरूं मरूं सब कोई कहै, मेरी मरै बलाय I

" Kabir says, every one says I am going to die but I don't say that because for me what has truly died are my bad habits, attachment to worldly pleasures, ego and greed. With age the capacity of man to enjoy worldly pleasures may diminish but desires have no such limitations. Death of body is not true end, for the material body is bound to wither in the course of time. What needs to die are the desires and it's the desirelessness that has made my life fearless."

नर नारायण रूप है, तू मति जानै देह I
जो समझे तो समझ ले, खलक पलक में खेह II

"Kabir says, a human being (नर) is but an earthly manifestation of Supreme Lord Narayan. Though we come into this world in the form of a body, the true we are not this body but the soul that dwells within, that connects us with Lord Narayan. The body is but the fleeting manifestation that is bound to wither as time goes by.
In other words service to man is truly a worship of Lord Narayan who dwells within."

उडगण और सुधाकरा, बसत नीर के संग I

"Kabir says, the water in which fish live also has moon and stars in the form of their reflection. Yet fish get trapped in the fishing net but not the stars and moon. In the similar way Sadhu lives in the world but is not of the world. He doesn't fall prey to the glitter of worldly pleasures."

उदर समाता अन्न ले, तनहि समाता चीर I

"In this composition Kabir describes the person who lives in the world but not of the world. A truly ascetic  leads an austerely simple life and dedicates his life to the pursuit of contemplative ideals. He refrains from any kind of accumulation, wears clothes only to cover the body and eats just to survive."

कथा कीर्तन कुल विशे, भवसागर की नाव I
कहत कबीरा या जगत, नाहीं और उपाय II

"We all have the mind of a monkey. Just like a monkey jumps from tree to tree, our mind jumps constantly from one thought to another. The thoughts that are often in our minds are concerned with fears and pressures of life. The firm grip of the five vices lust, anger, greed, attachment and ego compel us to do Karma accordingly. And so goes on the vicious cycle.
Kabir says, loving devotion to God talking only about Him, His story and through His Name Worship is the only way to tame the monkey mind. Karma accompanied by the Name of GOD is the only way to live in the world but not attached to the world."

कबिरा जपना काठ की, क्या दिखलावे मोय I
हिरदय नाम न जपेगा, यह जपनी क्या होय II

"Kabir says, why do you show other people your wooden rosary beads? You may slide the beads countless times with your hands but if you do not remember Ram in your heart then what is the use of this rosary to you? With your heart full of falsehood, holding the meditation beads in hand is no more than a ritual. All human actions are louder expressions of his thoughts. And therefore instead of merely wearing the rosary beads, enshrine Hari Naam in your heart, for this is the most excellent action. Lord Hari who dwells within must be worshipped only from within. "

सजन सनेही बहुत है, सुख में मिले अनेक I

"Kabir says, just like success has many fathers but failure is an orphan, some people only want to be around during the good times but when the bad time comes you don't hear from them. It's rare to find people who will stand by your side when the going gets tough."

"Kabir says, liberation from the mundane existence of endless births and death is possible only when we realise that the world we live in is but an illusion, that which is not. Living a lie is the root of all ills."

"Kabir says, man is born to work. Just like steel, he shines in use and rusts in rest. When we work hard, we can achieve anything and overcome any obstacle. There is no work that does not succeed with diligence. It is the hardwork of digging a well that helps to draw water underground. Hardwork is a key to true happiness."

"Kabir says, an ant carrying a grain of rice found a bean. Just like it can't have both at the same time, devotion and attachment to worldly pleasures don't go together."

"Kabir says, in the crematorium burns the pyre, the bones and the day comes when the person who carries out burning of the dead himself burns in the crematorium. In other words death is the ultimate destination of all, it spares no one."

"Kabir says, things of this world are in so constant a flux that nothing remains long in the same state. There is nothing certain in this world. Everything is fleeting. Only 'change' is constant and that is the harsh truth we have to learn to accept. Joy may turn into grief in the blink of an eye."

"Kabir says, however we try to conceal love, it cannot be for long, for it manifests through heart. When the words don't come and tears do, the eyes reveal what the tongue cannot express."

"Kabir says, the truly brave do not run away from the battlefield. They continue fighting amidst their fellow soldiers putting their life at stake. The danger of losing their life doesn't deter them from their task."

सूता साधू जगाइये, करै ब्रम्ह को जाप I

"Kabir says, if you are required to awake a Sadhu who is fast asleep, do it without hesitation because after waking up he will utter only God's Name. But beware of waking up from deep sleep a wicked person or lion or snake, for their instant reaction will be to attack."

"Kabir says, a temple was built by stone and a large stone idol was housed in it. Later that idol broke into pieces. It is futile to expect protection from the stone idol when it can't even save itself from damage."

मन मक्का दिल द्वारिका, काया काशी जान I

"Kabir says, our mind is Makka, heart is Dwarika and body is Kashi. The human body has nine physical openings, two eyes, two nostrils, two ears, mouth, anus, genital and tenth is the Abode of the inaccessible Infinite Supreme Being where He resides. This is the gate when opened enables His Realisation.
And therefore this ten door human body in itself is no less than a sacred temple in which dwells GOD. In other words there is no greater pilgrimage than a journey within."

"Kabir says, it doesn't matter if the ground on which you are standing turns into a large gaping hole or you fall from the cliff, for more damaging than these is making friendship with fools, a sure way to get drowned into an abyss of ignorance."

"Kabir says, Vamana, the fifth incarnation of Lord Vishnu covered the whole earth with one step. Lord Hanuman in one leap crossed the seas. Lord Krishna lifed the mighty mountain on the tip of his finger. But none were spared by death, the all powerful and inevitable."

"Kabir says, worshipping stone image of GOD is useless, for it doesn't give any reply. Blind faith makes man worship the stone image of GOD in hope of fulfilling his desires, but all goes in vain. In other words the true worship is none other than Karma and Hard work."
