"In this composition Sant Kabirdasji says, old age is like a dog and youth is like a rabbit.The old age awaits youth lying in ambush. Trapped between the two arch enemies, death lurking at us any moment and old age, none of us are ever safe."

Our life is no different. While the death swallows the one whose time is over, others have to wait for their turn."

"In this composition Sant Kabirdasji says, where lust prevails Wisdom and GOD cannot be. And where Wisdom is, carnal desires cannot be. Sensuality and the Spiritual Master cannot coexist just like sun and night cannot be together at the same time."

Good people seek company of righteous while the Saintly beings find solace in Lord."

"In this composition Sant Kabirdasji says, moth's fatal attraction to flame causes it's annihilation, yet it is vulnerable to the irresistible pull it feels for the fiery blaze. Similarly man's irresistible attraction to the sense pleasures not only brings him myriad of sufferings but also burns him to his death in the red-hot glowing embers of the sense pleasures."

"In this composition Sant Kabirdasji says, it would be very remiss of us if we ignore the inevitability of death that may befall us any moment. And therefore whatever we need to do to attain liberation from the gruelling cycle of death and rebirth we must do one pointedly here and now while we are still alive, for when the death strikes, it will be too late."

"In this composition Sant Kabirdasji says, man's fascination for material riches and worldly desires is like a reckless moth jumping into the light of a quivering flame, least bothered of the consequences. Truly liberated is the one who breaks free from the illusory reality of creation as perceived by the senses, living in the world but not of the world."

"In this composition Sant Kabirdasji says, under the influence of Maya, the soul mistakenly identifies with the body giving rise to "I am this body" idea, thus bringing a lot of sufferings. The more we aspire to control matter, we end up serving lust, greed, and anger. Often we redouble our efforts and, compounding mistake upon mistake, fall deeper into the illusion of accepting that which is temporary as having lasting value, and looking for enduring happiness in this world, which it cannot provide.
No wealthy household is devoid of sorrow. Our life is a mix of opposites and contraries. Happiness and sorrow go side by side.Tragic and happy moments combine together to make the human life meaningful, for life is a blend of thorns and roses."

"In this composition Sant Kabirdasji talks about the importance of Darshan of the Saintly Beings in our life. He says, we must not fail to seek the vicinity of the Saintly Beings at least once in six months if not often and remove any hindrance that prevents us from doing it, the noblest of all virtues."

"In this composition Sant Kabirdasji says, the Name of Lord Hari or Hari Ras is a wine of Divine Love, extremely sweet and all absorbing. While those like him who drink the exhilarating Hari Ras remain in divine ecstasy all the time and enjoy the sublime essence of the world entire, those who remain engrossed in the worldly charms remains merely like a wine maker."

"In this composition Sant Kabirdasji says, the Wise very well know the difference between the Paras Stone and the Spiritual Master. While the Paras Stone turns iron into precious gold, the Spiritual Master inculcates the noble virtues in his disciple turning him into a great one just like him."

"In this composition Sant Kabirdasji talks about the duality or two-ness of the world entire. He says, the notion of "I am devotee and You are Lord" is the basis of any devotion.The remembrance of Lord is not possible without the acceptance of the Supreme Reality, the very essence of the world entire. Illustrating with beautiful analogy he says, only the pure Paras Stone can turn Iron into gold."

"In this composition Sant Kabirdasji says, the Spiritual Master and his disciple are like the Pot maker and the Pot he is making. Just like the Potter subjects the clay to repeated blows to give it a desired shape, the disciple emerges honed by the confluence of the stringent discipline and love of the Spiritual Master."

तन थिर मन थिर बचन थिर, सुरति निरति थिर होय I
कहै कबीर उस पलक को, कल्प न पावै कोय II

"In this composition Sant Kabirdasji says, along with physical, mental and verbal poise when all the oscillations of mind cease, the Self Realisation dawns. And this rarest of rare moment when it comes true, realises only after a long and tedious journey through aeons."

"aeon" or Kalpa is a very long period of time generally between the creation and recreation of a world or universe.
The duration of material universe is manifested in cycles of Kalpas. A Kalpa is equal to 4.32 billion years. A Kalpa is a day of Brahma. It consists of a thousand cycles of four Yuga's, Satya Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dvapara Yuga and Kali Yuga. These four Yugas, rotating a thousand times, comprise one day of Brahma and the same number comprise one night. Brahma lives one hundred of such "years" and then dies.

माला फेरै कह भयो, हिरदा गाँठि न खोय I
गुरू चरनन चित राखिए, तो अमरापुर जोय II

"In this composition Sant Kabirdasji says, nothing will come true only by sliding the prayer beads unless we cleanse the mind of its inner filth, the bad habits, bad thinking and bad actions. Liberation from the mistaken sense of individuality is no more a myth when One surrenders at the feet of the Spiritual Master wholeheartedly."

"In this composition Sant Kabirdasji says, the prayer beads are into practice since time immemorial, yet man's craving for material desires has not diminished. Often fingers keep sliding the prayer beads but mind remains engrossed in the worldly desires. And therefore its time to make a transition from hand held prayer beads to remaining absorbed in the Name of Lord, for how lovingly we do His Name Worship counts more than its mere  repetitions."

"In this composition Sant Kabirdasji says, the breath comes and goes in a moment. The One whose breath is his true wealth must make a conscious effort to accompany 'RamNam' with his every breath, for remaining absorbed in the Name Worship of Lord Ram every moment is truly the crowning fruition of this rare human birth."

"In this composition Sant Kabirdasji says, life cannot be relied upon, for the present moment is all that we have, next we don't know. And therefore let 'RamNam' accompany our every breath, for it is the only way out of our mistaken sense of individuality, the Liberation in the truer sense."

"In this composition Sant Kabirdasji says, let everything that has breath praise the Lord and let every breath count. We don't know when we will breath our last and life will come to an end. Therefore remember Lord with every breath as if it is our last."

O'Lord says Sant Kabirdasji, absorbed in Your thoughts physically, verbally and mentally, I have become One with You. Being tethered to You, the incessant wandering of my mind has ceased."

भय बिन भाव न ऊपजै, भय बिनू होय न प्रीती I

" In this composition Sant Kabirdasji says, Happiness, Sorrow or Love are the manifestations of the sense of two-ness or attachment and fear is their root cause. And therefore as soon as the worldly attachment ceases, fearlessness dawns. In other words No Fear corresponds with No Sense of Duality or Non- Duality, the very essence of the world entire."
