In the sparkling dawn, life blossoms, offering us another life to pursue each day. In every heartbeat, an infinite breath, we seize the opportunity to be reborn and grow. It dances in laughter, whispers in the wind, inviting us to explore every path, every trail. A symphony of brilliance, an eternal present, offering us the chance to reinvent ourselves. It paints pictures of dreams and hope, offering us the blank canvas of existence to create.
In every gaze, a story to tell,
every day, an opportunity to reveal ourselves. Every step, a journey to traverse, allowing us to become who we want to be.
It sings in the streams, whispers in the trees,
reminding us that every moment is to be celebrated.
In every breath, a treasure to sow, inviting us to cultivate our dreams with sincerity.
The ode to life, a hymn to creation, giving us the chance to live with passion.
In its tender embrace, redemption is found,
discovering the magic of existence in fusion.
But remember, Kabir says, embrace it, this life that calls to you, and know that every moment is precious, every instant.

However as the oil dries up the flame extinguishes. Similarly when the life force ceases, it's too late to lament over the precious time lost."

सब ठौर जमात हमरी, सब ही ठौर पट मेला I
Kabir says, "सब ठौर जमात हमरी" implies there is only one community in the world, a community of beings, animate as well as innaminate. It may be a dog, cat, elephant, horse, sand, stone, grass, river, flat land, anything, for all are but a being in the end.
"सब ही ठौर पट मेला" implies being a "being" itself is a grand celebration. Every material and spiritual entity emerges from the Supreme Formlessness ("शून्य") and merges into it again. This nothingness or Supreme Formlessness ("निर्गुण") is the all encompassing Existence-Consciousness-Bliss."

धीरे-धीरे रे मना, धीरे सब कुछ होय ।
माली सींचे सौ घड़ा, ऋतु आए फल होय ॥
In this composition Kabir offers a gentle reminder to be patient with ourselves, trust the process, and celebrate the quiet moments of progress on our unique journeys towards personal growth and fulfillment. He urges us to embrace the reality that growth often happens slowly and subtly. Comparing ourselves to others or wishing for instant leaps can lead to frustration and discouragement. Imagine a seed patiently germinating underground, invisible process happening before the sprout emerges.
Kabir emphasizes the importance of faith and trust in the process of change and development. Even when progress seems imperceptible, consistent effort, like studying, reflecting, trying, are still contributing to positive growth. Imagine a sculptor meticulously refining a piece, each stroke contributing to the final masterpiece.
This composition of Kabir highlights the organic nature of growth, likening it to the blossoming of a rosebud. Just as a flower unfolds in its own time, so too does our potential. Trusting this natural process allows for authentic and sustainable development. Kabir suggests that like a rosebud reaching full bloom, moments of sudden clarity or significant progress can emerge after consistent effort and patience."

There once was a Musk Deer who very early in her life began to notice this heavenly scent in the air. Intoxicated by its smell, the Deer set out to search for the source of this divine aroma. She searched high and low and every where she went she could smell it lightly in the air, but its source always eluded her. She searched the depths of every forrest, smelled around every tree, tasting every blade of grass and still couldn't discover where this scent was coming from. She remained determined because the scent was so glorious she knew deep down that she would be profoundly happy once she finally found it.
She ended up devoting her entire life to her search and one day fell exhausted onto the forest floor. As she fell one of her horns pierced her own belly. Suddenly the air was overwhelmingly flooded with this divine heavenly scent. After a lifetime of searching, in the presence of the final moments of her precious life she realized the scent was coming from her naval.
"Kabir says, Musk Deer and it's search for the musk smell is a wonderful analogy for "searching outside for what is within." We seek to be happy, to find the source of our happiness somewhere out there in the world. We search tirelessly to discover it. However all that we seek is right here. We are the source of our peace, happiness and wellbeing."

Even when the lotus can be seen in all its glory, its roots are still firmly anchored in the muddy depths below. Without the roots, the flower could not exist. It is a wonderful contrast; roots anchored in the dark, thick, mud with a perfect flower resplendent in the sunlight.
Simply put, it is uninterestedly observing everything as a totally detached observer (Saakshi Bhaav). It is being able to remain "unaffected and untouched" in any situation, not to "get infatuated by anything", to be in "continuous remembrance of the Lord.
"Kabir says, the (Sadhus') Realized Souls live amidst the worldly activity (or Maya), yet remain unattached, uninfluenced by it just as the lotus flower remains untainted by the slimy scum. The living in the world but not of the world of a Realized Soul is like a wet nurse who breastfeeds and cares for another's child but does so in a detached manner."

It's not that God is only inside. He is also outside, equally - All-knowing and All-powerful - omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent. As God is beyond words and beyond the mind, without realising Him inside, He cannot be realised outside. From there the search can expand without. Seeing God in all things (including within) and knowing all beings as one's own Self is truly His Realisation.
"Kabir says, Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe. Faith is a living, daring confidence in God's grace, so sure and certain that a man could stake his life on it a thousand times."

Throughout history, individuals, regardless of their spiritual inclinations, have yearned for this elusive state of joy. Everyone says ‘bliss,’ ‘bliss,’ but bliss in the truer sense can be known only through the Guru.
The mind alone is ignorance. It is because of the mind that the universe is seen in all its differences and diversities just as a giant formation of a group of clouds is scattered by a strong gust of wind.
" Kabir says, in the pursuit of bliss, I sought joy in transient flavors, tastes, and fleeting experiences. The light of Guru's wisdom however dispelled the cloud of ignorance thus ceasing my wandering in the wilderness of ignorance."

It is the spontaneous outpouring of single minded devotion towards the Beloved, reveling in the contemplation of His beauty, majesty and compassion. Bhakti is not about seeking that love but dropping the barriers against it that we’ve built inside ourselves. It opens the door to eternity within.
Bhakti teaches us that love is one’s very own nature, not just an emotion. By surrendering to the love that you are wholeheartedly, you can transcend worldly sorrow and pain, and experience total freedom in the simplest way possible."

Nothing can stop it from striking the target. But Japa or meditative repetition of God's name minimises it's intensity. It is like the case of a man who is destined to lose his leg, but instead suffers only from the prick of a thorn in his foot.
Humanity is in a profound state of spiritual ignorance and consequent suffering in the present age.The humble practice of repeating God's name is the only way to reach the goal of God-realization in Kali Yuga.

"Kabir says, we are the architects of our own lives, and the choices we make today determine the experiences we have tomorrow. The freedom to choose empowers us, but it also compels us to make informed decisions. By considering the potential consequences of our actions, both positive and negative, we can make choices that align with our values and goals. Even the outcomes we might perceive as negative can hold valuable lessons. Reflecting on the consequences of our choices allows us to learn and grow, ultimately making us better equipped to navigate the path ahead. In essence, Kabir reminds us that freedom and responsibility are intertwined. We have the freedom to choose, but we must also embrace the responsibility for the consequences that follow. By doing so, we can navigate life's journey with greater intention and purpose."

In this composition Kabir uses the analogy of a pair of flat grinding stones used for grinding grain for the duality we live in. Just like the grain is crushed between the grinding stones, everyone is subjected to the play of opposites such as gain and loss, good and bad, pleasure and pain, life and death without exception. Whoever enters this duality is crushed. The friction between the stones crush the grain into smaller pieces ultimately turning it into flour. Man subjected to trials of life is no exception too. In other words we get so much involved in the stuggle for survival that we forget the true purpose for which we were born human. People spend their whole life chasing material possessions, least bothered about the spiritual progress, for in the end none of the material possessions are of any use. It is only the spiritual growth that transcends the limits of the material world."

"Kabir says, there are no limitations as to time and place for constant remembrance of God's name. It may be done at any time and at any place, sitting or standing, walking, or in bed, but it must be done in a state of conscious wakefulness. In course of time, like the tick of a clock, it becomes ceaseless for all the twenty-four hours. While the hands are engaged in work, the mind rests in the Lord. Being entirely a mental process to be done with the tongue of thought, the constant remembrance of God' name introverts the mind and weans it from worldly thoughts and mundane matters, until it gets stilled and is equipoised. The observance of the outer rituals and performance of so-called meritorious deeds cannot be of any help in this matter. While the untold treasure of divinity lies hidden within, we search for it without and so all our efforts go in vain. Kabir reminds us that no outer shows are needed, all must be done within."

Parrots are vocal learners. They grasp sounds by hearing and then imitating them. When a parrot says “Hello; how are you?” when its owner enters the room, for example, it’s “not necessarily interested in your well being” but is mimicking what it hears the owner saying when he or she comes in. In fact, a parrot’s understanding of “how are you,” is probably “Oh look, someone has come into the room.”
Parrots are known to mimic what their owners say. If the owner says 'Hari Hari', the parrot mimics it not necessarily understanding the glory surrounding Hari Naam. A parrot revered as a Saintly Being only because it constantly utters 'Hari Hari' is unheard of.
Kabir says, those who robotically read, memorize the spiritual texts without understanding it's essence are no more than a parrot.
While the caged parrot mimics 'Hari Hari' like that of his owner, as soon as the door to cage opens and it tastes freedom, the parrot's uttering 'Hari Hari' is a bygone era.
The parrot uttering 'Hari Hari' is no different from the so-called wise uttering the same, for both do it under captivity. While the parrot is forced to live in the cage, the so-called wise is in the captivity of his ego.
By learning as much as you can, analyzing your experiences and putting your knowledge to the test, you can become a wiser person. We may get influenced by what we read, but unless we let it churn and sink within the Wisdom won't dawn. The Wisdom so dawned doesn't remain hidden. It reflects in every aspect of the person. It enlightens him thus opening the gateway to Liberation."

What is the use to meet the Guru everyday and be the same person, without any kind of improvement, even after many years of physical presence. The attunement isn’t dependent upon time and space or upon proximity to the Guru’s physical presence, but it is dependent upon our receptivity to the Guru’s spiritual magnetism."

We are like children building a sand castle. We embellish it with beautiful shells, bits of driftwood, and pieces of colored glass. The castle is ours, off limits to others. We’re willing to attack if others threaten to hurt it. Yet despite all our attachment, we know that the tide will inevitably come in and sweep the sand castle away. The trick is to enjoy it fully but without clinging, and when the time comes, let it dissolve back into the sea."

By advocating for endearing and welcomed speech, Kabir is encouraging us to use our words as a force for good, to promote harmony, and to create a more compassionate and understanding world. He reminds us that our words are not just empty sounds but rather reflections of our inner state and the intentions we hold towards others.
In essence, it is Kabir's call to mindful communication, a reminder of the profound impact our words have on the world around us. It encourages us to use language with care, to choose kindness over harshness, and to strive to make our words a source of upliftment and inspiration for others.
"Kabir says, the amount of venom released by a snake is not much, but it can be extremely potent! Why should a small little slip of the tongue be so hard to just shake off? Because it is poisonous, and even if the other person isn't aware, its very purpose is to go straight to the heart and wound. A gentle tongue with its healing words can be a tree of life, or it can wound or destroy. A man who uses his tongue properly is a man who has his whole life under control. There is nectar in the tongue if one knows how to speak. We all end up eating the fruit of our words."

You have had a long and eventful day, but you are doing just fine. But, if you keep thinking about how you should be feeling tired after such a long day, you will start feeling tired. In other words your mind is the willfulness that pushes the body to work. Where your mind goes your body follows.
"Kabir says, the worldliness has made we humans like a bird. Our bodies fly to where our minds lead us to. While the evil thoughts may compel us to do wrongdoings, those who sow courtesy reap friendship, and those who plant kindness gather love. Engage in good thoughts, and only good words and good deeds will follow. Our thoughts become our actions. It does not have a real existence, yet the shadow is. It walks behind you; if you run, it runs after you, if you stop, it stops. Whenever something exists, it also has its shadow. The Supreme Reality has its shadow, too. It is Maya, the illusion. That which is not. The shadow of the Supreme Reality is this world we live in. Ignorance is Maya on the scale of a man.
It is the "I am this body" idea that is causing the shadow of ignorance, not the sun.
Just like the shadow disappears when you become one with the sun, God Realization comes true when one gets rid of "I am this body" idea.
While earning a living keeps the entire humanity occupied, at the community kitchen which serves meals to all free of charge, regardless of religion, caste, gender, economic status, or ethnicity, the abundant food supply never ceases.
