चन्दन जैसा साधू है, सर्पहि संसार I
वाके अंग लपटा रहे, मन में नाहि विकार II

"Kabir says, Sadhu is like Sandalwood and worldly enticements are like snake. Just like the Sandalwood doesn't give up its quality of giving coolness despite being wrapped around by the snakes, Sadhu remains in the world but not of the world."
