"Kabir says, we live in the age of instant gratification, the desire for immediate pleasure or reward, where we expect everything to come to us instantly. it's the instant gratification that makes the material riches and pleasure of senses very attractive. However in the devotional worship of Lord Ram, there is no instant gain. It takes countless lifetimes to earn the merit, and therefore it's much less sought after. Since greed of material riches and devotion of God cannot coexist and are mutually conflicting, its a catch-22 situation to choose between the two. Staying in dilemma takes one nowhere, neither gratification of material pleasures nor spiritual enhancement."
