II श्रीराम जय राम जय जय राम II

चिऊँटी चावल ले चली, बिच में मिली गई दाल I
कहैं कबीर दो ना मिलै, इक ले दूजी डाल II

A pure mind drenched in Divine Love cannot simultaneously indulge in the lure of senses, name and fame, in self-glorification, monetary appeals, in accumulating wealth and worldly riches. Just like light and darkness cannot simultaneously co-exist, knowledge and ignorance cannot co-exist, Love of God and Love of worldliness cannot co-exist.

"Kabir says, an ant carrying a grain of rice finds a lentil on the way. But it cannot have both simultaneously. We are no different than this ant. We are never satisfied with what we have, for the endless greed for more and more keeps us engrossed in the frivolous material pursuits all our life instead of God Realisation, the true purpose of this rare human birth. This composition is Kabir's message about to be content with what we have instead of falling prey to greed that can have no end. We need to realise that our present state is by the will of God and He has bestowed it upon us to our bestest interest. And therefore staying content in what we have is best for us."
