II श्रीराम जय राम जय जय राम II

जो ऊग्या सो आँथवै, फूल्या सो कुमिलाइ I
जो चिणियाँ सो ढहि पडै, जो आया सो जाइ II

Whatever we see is all ephemeral. Everything that appears must disappear. Nothing lasts forever in life, as life itself is impermanent. What rises must set. All empires fall, eventually. Simply put, anything born must perish one day for birth is the proof of impending death. All things are short-lived, both good and bad. Wealth, possessions, kith and kin, name, fame, titles, nothing is permanent. And therefore we are urged by Kabir not to get attached to anything fleeting, for everything from our emotions to our thoughts and feelings, from the cells in our bodies to the plants around us, is changing and decaying continuously.

"Kabir says, what rises is destined to fall one day so is the flower that blooms must wither one day. What is born will die, what has been gathered will be dispersed, what has been built up will collapse, And what has been high will be brought low. Everything our physical eyes see in this world is moving, perishing, diminishing, fading, fleeting, impermanent, in flux, and transient."
