तीरथ तो सब बेलडी, सब जग मेल्या छाइ I
कबीर मूल निकंदिया, कौण हलाहल खाइ II

In this composition Kabir strongly urges us not to waste our time and resources visiting any of the so called Teerath or Pilgrimages. The Bathing at sacred shrines of pilgrimage, the filth of mind (lust, greed, anger, ego) is not washed off. When the mind is filthy, everything is filthy; by washing the body, the mind is not cleaned. Religious rituals are all just egotistical displays. 
 The bathing at places of pilgrimage does not remove inner impurities and does not take one to heaven. The mind is cleansed only by the love of God's Name. The 
'Teerath' are traps to enslave human minds. 'Hari Naam' is the only true 'Teerath'. It is located within.

"Kabir says, 'Teerath' or Pilgrimages are like the vines in whose tight grip is the whole humanity since time immemorial. The educated and uneducated alike wander and seek God everywhere outside, at these external locations except within where He dwells. Visiting the pilgrimages does not uproot the poison of ignorance."
