II श्रीराम जय राम जय जय राम II

चलती चक्की देख के, दिया कबीरा रोये I
दो पाटन के बीच में, साबुत बचा न कोए II

In this composition Kabir uses the analogy of a pair of flat grinding stones used for grinding grain for the duality we live in. Just like the grain is crushed  between the grinding stones, everyone is subjected to the play of opposites such as gain and loss, good and bad, pleasure and pain, life and  death without exception. Whoever enters this duality is crushed. The friction between the stones crush the grain into smaller pieces ultimately turning it into flour. Man subjected to trials of life is no exception too. In other words we get so much involved in the stuggle for survival that we forget the true purpose for which we were born human. People spend their whole life chasing material possessions, least bothered about the spiritual progress, for in the end none of the material possessions are of any use. It is only the spiritual growth that transcends the limits of the material world."
