लंबा मारग, दूरी घर, विकट पंथ, बहु मार
कहौ संतो क्यूं पाइये, दुर्लभ हरि दीदार II

"Kabir says, devotion is the bridge between mortals and God, as the soul tends to seek its divine origin of bliss. But this path is not easy; it is strewn with challenges.
To overcome the spell of Maya is the greatest challenge for a Jivatma caught in Samsara. Though God offers to liberate people from this cycle, and incarnates time and again to reassure them in this regard, people fail to discriminate between the permanent and the fleeting and chase sense objects with great fervour.
Real spiritual development and progress in sadhana are indeed very hard to attain. The workings of maya are so very subtle, so very difficult to overcome, and human nature is fundamentally so unregenerate, that it refuses to be transformed from its vicious state to a state of virtue, goodness. To achieve any measure of success in spiritual life is a difficult and uphill task. It is divine grace alone that can raise the aspirant from darkness to light."
