II श्रीराम जय राम जय जय राम II

मनह मनोरथ छाँडिये, तेरा किया न होइ I

"Kabir says, performing an action and making choices is in our hands. But the results and the consequences are not. He emphasizes the importance of performing our duties with sincerity and dedication, rather than being motivated solely by the desire for specific outcomes. When we detach ourselves from the fruits of our actions, we become liberated from the burden of expectations, allowing us to experience a state of equanimity. While we can exert effort and take responsibility for our actions, we are not the ultimate cause of the outcomes. The results are influenced by a myriad of factors, including external circumstances and the Divine Will. Understanding this helps us maintain humility and acceptance, recognizing the vastness of the universe and our place within it. By performing our duties with selfless devotion, without seeking personal gain or ownership, and with unwavering enthusiasm, we can align ourselves with the Divine Will and experience a sense of purpose and fulfilment. We should strive to do our best without attachment to outcomes, understanding that the seeds of our actions are planted in the present moment, and their fruits will ripen in due time according to a higher plan.
Illustrating with meaningful analogy Kabir says, had everything been in man's hands, butter could have been drawn from water and everyone would have had privilege to eat butter roti."
