"Kabir says, God is not impressed (pleased) by outward display. By outwardly wearing religious robes one cannot conceal the filth of their minds, no matter how hard they may try. Outwardly they may apply ashes to their bodies while the fire of desire rages within. One may perform chants, meditations, austere self-discipline, fasts and devotional worship, but unless sickness of excessive egoism goes away all goes in vain. One cannot hope to realize God within with his empty outward display of religious paraphernalia. Among all religions, the best religion is fond remembrance of God's name. Among all rituals and conducts, this is above all. That person who enshrines the rosary of God's Name within the heart engages the five senses constantly in the service of the Lord, for it is liberation in the truer sense. You may apply sacred marks on forehead, hold rosary in hands, wear religious robes but still loving devotion of Lord Ram is something entirely different. It doesn't need pompous show. What’s matter in spirituality is NOT the ‘Physical’ per se, but the CONSCIENCE (the MIND) — the Conscience must remain imbued in the Creator Realization."
