जो ऊग्या सो आँथवै, फूल्या सो कुमिलाइ I
जो चिणियाँ सो ढहि पडै, जो आया सो जाइ II

"Kabir says, everything in life has its polar opposite. It is not possible to have a day without night. There is no right without wrong, no light without dark, no down without up and, no success without failure. The world seems incomplete without the opposites. All existence is about contrasts, is about duality.
Life is a balance of pair of opposites. Happy and sad, cold and hot, rich and poor—our world consists of pairs of opposites.The pair of opposites such as life and death, blossoming and withering, love and hatred, joy and grief, pleasure and pain, honour and disgrace reflect the ups and downs that inevitably form part of our experience in the world. Everything has a pair, an opposite, a contrast. The negative and positive. The yin and yang. Male and female. They are life's opposites. They attract. They harmonize life. They keep life's equilibrium. Like fire and water, like silence and noise, like laughter and tears, like sadness and joy, like black and white everything works in pair to keep the flow of life.
Anything that appears will soon disappear. What rises must set. Anything born must finish one day for birth is the proof of impending death.Our challenge is how we may maintain a tranquil and balanced mind in the midst of these so-called pairs of opposites. What comes and goes is time-bound, thus unreal or temporary. So, we are urged by Kabir not to get attached to anything fleeting."
