II श्रीराम जय राम जय जय राम II

हीरा परा बजार में, रहा छार लपिटाइ I
बतक मूरख चलि गये, पारखि लिया उठाइ II

Time is merciless, inexorable, and cruel. It alone wears everything out and devours all and everything in this world. There is nothing in Creation that is beyond its reach. And therefore Kabir reminds us not to be oblivious of the time, careless, ignorant and unmindful. Just like we never seem to forget or ignore to cherish our body, all day along, everyday. Not only that, we all take care of our body without anybody reminding us. Similarly we should be alert and aware, not to be oblivious of the time, to use this human life to attain God Realisation, the crowning fruition of all endeavors, here and now.
Just like a mouse who wastes away loads of paper by nibbling at them and none of that paper is of any use to that foolish creature, we waste the precious moments of this rare human birth chasing frivolous material pursuits, accumulating  material riches when in the end we have to depart from this world empty handed.

"Kabir says, only the person who has an eye for it knows the worth of a priceless diamond however soiled it may be."
