The mind is charioteer and the horses are the sensory organs. When the sensory organs start taking control and the charioteer loses control then there is trouble.The Cosmic Charmer called Maya binds the living entities to the material plane, and robs them of their Divine Freedom. Those who constantly long for lust become so infatuated with it that they cannot put things in proper perspective. In order to capture the enemy, one needs to know his whereabouts. Similarly, to capture the lust and its companions, we need to know their hiding place. Their hiding places are within the physical senses, mind, and intelligence. The mind is the center of all the activities of senses; thus, when senses become attracted toward lust the mind becomes the source of all ideas of sense gratification. Consequently, the mind and senses become the repositories of lust. As a result, the intelligence becomes the capital of such lustful propensities which further accelerates the downfall.
"Kabir says, the irresistible attraction to sensual pleasures is like moth to the flame. Just like a moth is drawn to a fiery flame least bothered that it is going to perish in the fiery dispair, the person addicted to sensual pleasures succumbs to his desires inviting his downfall.
