दुर्लभ मानुष जन्म है, देह न बारम्बार I
तरुवर जो पत्ती झडे, बहुरि न लागे डार II

"Kabir says, this human form we take so granted is very difficult to obtain. Man wanders through countless incarnations, until finally he attains this priceless human birth. It does not just come over and over again. It is like the ripe leaf on the tree; when it falls to the ground, it cannot be re-attached to the branch again, cannot go back. Like the bird in hand is worth two in bush, this life we have here and now is what counts. Grab this opportunity with both hands and do everything possible to make most of this rare human birth to serve it's true purpose, God Realisation. We don't know when the human birth will happen again. 
What separates men from animals is the faculty of Discriminating Intellect called Vivek-Buddhi; which allows man to discriminate between the eternal (permanent) and the ephemeral (impermanent). This subtle sense of discrimination helps one to know the difference between truth and falsehood. A person with awakened faculty of Vivek-Buddhi knows that the Absolute Reality alone is eternal and that everything else in this material world being in the framework of time and space is temporary. Without Vivek-Buddhi, this precious human life is a total waste."
