भग भोगै भग ऊपजै, भगतै बचै न कोय I
कहैं कबीर भगते बचै, भक्त कहावै सोय II

"In this composition Kabir draws our attention to the flow of our desires that flow out from the uncontrolled appetite of our senses. Man engages in the world of gross objects with his sensory faculties and the pleasures and they make him desire for more and more. One must always be on the alert to the enticements of his senses, and to develop non-attachment towards the sensory objects in order to progress spiritually so that we don’t end up squandering this rare and precious human birth in sensory pursuits. A true devotee is never attracted by sense gratification. He is never entangled in the material worldly affairs, living in the world but not of the world."
